For English speakers, one practical note: KarClick's site title and press coverage are in Spanish, so try the assistant with your own phrasing before relying on it.
What PuroCarro is
PuroCarro is a cars-only, Costa Rica-only marketplace, available in Spanish and English. Private sellers, dealerships and lots list their cars; you message the seller through the site's chat and negotiate directly. PuroCarro does not buy, sell, inspect or finance cars and takes no commission on the sale.
The real difference
The two platforms solve different problems.
KarClick solves "I don't know where to start." If you are not sure which model you want, describing what you need to an assistant can be easier than building a filtered search. And because it carries dealer inventory, many of the options will come from established dealers.
PuroCarro solves "is this price right?" Once you know what you want, you need to compare: what others are asking for the same car, what mileage is typical, what the marchamo will cost. PuroCarro puts that data on each listing.

When KarClick makes sense
- You do not yet know which car you want and would rather describe your needs in words.
- You are mainly shopping dealer cars and want several dealers' stock in one place.
- Talking to an assistant feels more natural to you than using filters.

What PuroCarro gives you to judge a price
- A comparison on every listing. With at least 20 similar listings, the price is compared with up to 50 cars of the same make and a similar model, within 2 years and 50,000 km, listed in the last 12 months. A bar shows whether it sits in the cheapest 25% (green), the middle 50% (yellow) or the top 25% (gray). It is a general reference that does not account for condition, extras or history.
- Bluebook: minimum, maximum, average and median prices by make, model and year, with mileage stats.
- Marchamo lookup: the annual fee and fiscal value by plate. This matters because the 2.5% transfer tax is charged on the higher of the fiscal value and the sale price.
- Custom lists to group the cars you are considering and compare them.

Using both to buy
- Explore on KarClick if you are unsure of the model. Use the assistant to narrow down to two or three options.
- Search those models on PuroCarro with year, mileage and location filters, and set an alert for each.
