About PuroCarro

What we do

We want buying and selling a car in Costa Rica to be clearer. Every listing follows the same format, with the car's specs, up to 20 photos and the price. When there are enough similar cars, the listing shows how its price compares with those from the last 12 months.

PuroCarro does not buy, sell, inspect or finance cars, and takes no commission on the sale. The deal is between buyer and seller.

For buyers

• Filters for make, model, year, price, fuel, transmission, body type, mileage and location, plus map search.
• A price comparison on each listing against similar cars, when there are at least 20 to compare.
• Saved searches with alerts, and lists to group the cars you are considering.
• Direct chat with the seller on the site.

For sellers

• Listing a car is free on the Pura Vida plan.
• Enter the plate and the form fills in the car's details for you.
• Every listing has its own page on Google, and shared links show the photo, price and details on WhatsApp and Facebook.
• For more reach, a 7-day boost puts your listing at the top of the homepage for a one-time payment.

How PuroCarro makes money

PuroCarro is funded by listing boosts and by the Turbo and Business plans for people who sell several cars, such as agencies and dealer lots. Listing a car and searching are free. See current prices on the pricing page.

Free tools

Beyond the marketplace, PuroCarro offers free tools for anyone with a car in Costa Rica: Marchamo lookup by plate, market value (Bluebook) by make, model and year, and San José's driving restriction by plate number.

Who runs PuroCarro

PuroCarro is operated by Timechain LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Wyoming, United States. The site is available in Spanish and English.
